We are a pioneer in linking pension fund industry and the housing market after introducing the first ever housing fund in Namibia. We currently managing a GIPF mandate of over N$1Billion assets, where we provide housing loans to its members.
Home loans are not always readily available to many Namibians, making home ownership difficult. First Capital Housing Fund (the Fund) was established in 2011 with an initial investment from the Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) to pioneer a new way of providing home loans to people with low income, government employees & GIPF members to enable them acquire and develop affordable housing. The Fund is aimed at financing construction of new houses, renovations and purchase of houses for all qualifying borrowers.
Municipal Infrastructure Finance
The infrastructure lending program is aimed at financing housing related infrastructure projects in towns across the country. The founder believes that the installation of infrastructure such as roads, water, sewer and electricity in towns increases the value of the land in the vicinity of the infrastructure investment. The loan is granted to finance Municipalities & Local Authorities infrastructure projects directly relate to residential housing and commercial properties, contributing to the efficient functioning of the town and increased supply of residential housing.
